All together there were over 24 hours of footage filmed in the process of making this model and that is only a fraction of the time I actually spent building! If I was to have a guess Iād say I spent nearly 150 hours on this project.
The tips and techniques I used building this HO scale diorama can be adapted to basically any other scale with similar results. The key to getting such a detailed model rely heavily on having a good 3D printer.
For this project I used the Elfin 3D printer that was sent to me from Nova3D and it is fast becoming my go to printer! I used it exclusively on the subway project and it exceeded my expectations!
It has a slightly bigger print bed over the other printers Iāve used and the best part is that it auto levels so no tedious bed leveling is required. I must have done at least 20 separate prints and had no issues whatso ever.
I highly recommend this 3D printer but in any case, even if you want to get a different brand of resin 3D printer I canāt recommend them enough! Just remember to ALWAYS use protective gear and NEVER touch the uncured resin with your bare hands! It really pays to keep the area where you will be printing very clean and organized with a lot of paper towels and disposable gloves ready when needed.

Additional content that will help you recreate and follow along with the build, some of the 3DĀ printer files are still experimental and may require some tinkering in order to get them to print successfully. Also, nearly all of the 3DĀ printer files are designed for resin 3DĀ printers, trying to print them using a filament 3DĀ printer may not be possible!
But in any case, IĀ hope you enjoy the extra content.
